Was great until 11/1 when they insist that you register card. Spent hours on hold to accomplish this with 2 cards. Will not be getting these again after using them for years

I'd also used the KPF card for the past several years and had been very satisfied with it until the recent so-called 'upgrade' (which has been an horrendous downgrade in actuality). The card not only cannot be used for many online retailers, it now WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY ATM SYSTEM I HAVE TRIED IT ON!
In effect, this means that KPF is now denying users the ability to withdraw their cash from the card in order to cancel it! This is clearly insane and obviously illegal, but thus far there appears to be little that can be done about it--the alleged customer service personnel are no use at all, so the only recourse so far has been to file complaints with a Federal consumer website that deals with prepaid card malfeasance, and to also make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Both of these recourses will naturally take some time to produce any results, so until then, my cash is held in limbo--I can use it at POS terminals, but can't use it on many internet sites, and cannot access my own money through withdrawal.
I cannot imagine what is going on here.
I have no idea if there has been some type of massive security breach, a la Wells Fargo, that the company is covering up, or if it is a case of extreme corporate incompetence, but either way this is one of the most aggravating and incredible problems I've ever experienced in using any banking product. Just unbelievable.
